For anyone, the key to looking good, for longer, is taking care of your skin. If you start doing so from a young age, by the time you reach your 30s, 40s, 50s or 60s you will end up looking at least 10 years younger. To help you to do exactly that, here are three simple skincare tips that anyone can use to greatly improve the condition of their skin and preserve it for longer.
Protect your skin from the sun
Protecting your skin from the sun is the most important step to take. You do not have to spend much to be able to do so. These days it is easy to pick up good quality sunblock from your local supermarket. If you buy it there you can get a big bottle for only a few dollars.
Get into the habit of wearing a hat with a wide-brim, especially on sunny days. A baseball cap is ideal.
Always wear sunglasses, even when the sun is not particularly bright. The skin around your eyes is particularly thin and therefore susceptible to sun damage.
Never use ordinary soap on your face
The chemicals in most soaps are very bad for the delicate skin on your face. Never wash your face with ordinary soap. It is far better to use a proper cleanser and to apply moisturizer afterward.
Brush your skin regularly
As well as taking care of the skin on your face you need to care for the skin on the rest of your body. You want it to retain its elasticity and vitality. An excellent way to do this is to learn about dry skin brushing. Something you can do here.
